Description: INSM-0025- Intake System, Ford, F-150, 4.6L, 2004 to 2005
Outlaw R&D Department announced the release of its Outlaw Power cold air intake system for trucks and SUVs. The new cold air intake system replaces the entire factory system.

Outlaw’s utility patent-pending air filter system features are included with every intake system. With this intake system, you can expect an increase in horsepower, torque and throttle response throughout the RPM range.

Pros: HP & Torque increase/fuel mileage improvement
Cons: Could be designed to fit a little better.

I just received and installed my Outlaw Cold Air Intake.
Outlaw seems to be a fairly new company. They are off to a good start. The product is good.
The pics are of the intake on my truck.
The hp increase is noticeable. I let my wife drive into town this evening. As we were getting on the highway, it kicked into passing gear suddenly. She said, "I'm sorry, it just happened." :-) It increased the low end very well. This 4.6L is very weak on the bottom end. Now I can take off into traffic with a little more confidence.
This will definitely give a growl under the hood. When I get down on the accelerator it definitely is sucking a great amount of air.
I would recommend this for the power increase.
I will follow up next week to note the mileage change, if there is any.

Mileage update. After driving 2 weeks I have definitely noticed an improvement in the mileage. I ran one tank of gas that did not burn well, the truck was sluggish acting, etc. I bought this gas where I knew to not buy it. I got 17mpg on that tank in mixed, but mostly highway driving. Another tank with mixed/mostly highway driving (also sitting 30 minutes parked running AC) I got 16.7. I have gotten 18.2 and 18.5 on two other tanks. By the way, I average about 1,000 miles per week. I also run 65 in 55 mph zones and 80mph on the interstate highways.
I would recommend this for sure.
One thing to note: I cannot explain this (perhaps due to driving habits?) but my 05 S-Crew 4.6l seems to do better with gas than most, anyway. Please do not assume that your truck will do exactly the same as mine.
