Pros: Great tone, looks awesome, not too loud.
Cons: On my install the tailpipe rubs the spare tire. Maybe it's just me...

This is a great product overall, I'm very happy with it.

I got mine from Performance Peddler that has the best price I could find anywhere. Shipping was great.

Anyway, the install went fairly smooth. I simply made one cut to get the tailpipe off, then unbolted the muffler and pipe and took them off. I had to give it a few whacks with a big hammer to get them loose.

The new unit bolted up well. The only problem I had is that the rear pipe rubs the spare tire. I'm going to contact Magnaflow and see what they say about that.

Otherwise I'm very happy. The sound is not so loud that it will annoy the neighbours, but you know there's a V8 under the hood! Supposedly this Magnaflow kit frees up some horsepower/torque across the entire power band. There was no torque loss at low RPM like I had with my previous muffler (on my old truck).

I highly recommend this Magnaflow kit!

Pros: Hi Quality product throughout with all needed parts to install
Cons: Not loud enough! tight fit around spare and tow hitch

Bought from X through the link on here and they are EXCELLENT TO DEAL WITH AND SHIP QUICKLY AT THE STATED PRICE AND THE SHIPPING IS FREE! I searched Hi and Low for the best price and these guys BLOW THE DOORS off EVERYBODY!They stock other performance parts but the selection is slightly limited on the website. I bought the dual rear exit system for my 00 s/c 4x4 flareside 5.4.The tips are HUGE and BEAUTIFUL!I had a custom system that was just duals with no muffler to the rear and it was SWEET so the Magna Flow is ALOT quieter but sounds great. The muffler is CLEAR STRAIGHT THRU so there is no restrictions at all.I do not know how they do it but the sound is a nice rumble at idle right up to light acceleration. When you stomp on it the sound level increases alot and sounds great!Cruising with windows closed is quiet in truck to a nice light rumble so your wife won't be mad.I plan on ordering a system for our 04 Xped 4x4 Eddie Bauer for "Fuel Mileage purposes"(at least thats what I will tell her!}The install will take about 3 hrs with one person with a lift taking your time to do it.DOWNSIDE it takes a while to check clearances and system placement for proper alignment and look.I reccomend tack welding the entire system when you are sure you have it right! I have the factory 17 spare and factory hitch. It is close to the spare but no problem. On the other hand the tips are rubbing on the factory hitch no matter how long I tried to align.I had to trim the end pipes on the hitch about an 1/8th an inch to get me some clearance.BUY THIS FROM X EXCELLENT PEOPLE!

Pros: well made, excellant quality, positive results, great mellow sound.
Cons: gives off a funky smell as the muffler packing breaks in, last only for a day or two.

i bought this exhaust after much positive reviews on this forum and others for the F150. i got it from X, call them and tell them you are a member of this forum and they will give you one helluva deal. install was pretty straight forward, biggest pain was removal the stock system. every thing lined up and the sound is awesome, nice and mellow. this is my only mod and i did notice a seat of the pants improvement although it seems to have subsided abit due to either the ECU getting used to the easier exhaust flow or i'm getting used to extra umph. either way i highly highly recommend Magnaflow!!

Pros: Sounds great! But not too loud. Easy to install, Looks, Price $$
Cons: Makes slight contact with spare, had to adjust rear hanger.

Got home about 3 in the afternoon and found the big white box sitting on my doorstep, stamped with Magnaflow #15609.

All excited - I unpacked it to make sure that everything was there. All & all it took me less than an hour & a half to remove the old exhaust and install the Magnaflow. With most of that time spent on pulling out the old exhaust and making some finite adjustments to the rear hanger so the tail pipe wouldn’t touch the spare tire.

I will admit having an air compressor with the appropriate air tools really helps out but it shouldn’t be to hard if you don’t. But you might want to pre treat the U-bolts with some penetrating oil. I would also recommend a reciprocating saw to help cut out the old exhaust and a die-grinder just incase your front pipe doesn’t want to come loose from the collector 2.5” pipe joint.

Anyway my trusty Milwaukee Sawsall made short work of the old exhaust, cutting right after the stock muffler. The die-grinder came in handy helping cut away the front pipe where the old exhaust pipe links to the collector pipe, because someone over tightened the U-bolt.

Other than that it is an easy installation and I love the sound. Just completed a 2 hour drive on the freeway (San Diego to Long Beach) and it has none of the unpleasant exhaust blurbs or resonances in the cab like I'm used to hearing with other systems at speed. Performance-wise I noticed an immediate difference and it is a nice complement to my Hypertech and K&N FIPK.

Pros: Very nice sound, good looking, high quality, and high flowing.
Cons: REALLY close to spare tire

Easy to install, looks very good especially with the 4" tip. Muffler is straight through and flows like a straight pipe. Very nice mellow tune, not too loud but at the higher RPMs very meaty. Makes the engine sound a little meaner. Also seems to have let loose some ponies. High quality.
Only Problem was with the spare tire issue, tried to adjust the bracket in the back and torque some stuff in the front but only got about half an inch of clearance. Might try to move the tire over a little.(weld in some studs and ditch the pulley.
