Description: The ScanGauge performs the diagnostics functions like a conventional OBD-II scan tool. It also goes beyond this and uses the other data to add many more useful functions.

Simultaneously displays 4 real-time digital readouts: Fuel Economy, Fuel consumption,
RPM, Speed, Volts, Manifold Pressure, Coolant Temperature, Intake Air Temperature, Ignition Timing, Throttle Position, Engine Load, Open or Closed Loop

and more...

Pros: Very easy to use, lights up for easy reading. Easy to mount anywhere. And hooks up in just seconds to your OBD connector.
Cons:

This product is very helpful. I like the miles per gallon for fuel feature. Good way to get an accurate reading on what type of mileage you get. I also like the feature that shows you codes the vehicle may be spitting out to you. This scan gauge has a ton of little cool things that it tells you about your vehicle like ignition timing, it reads the air temp. inside your intake. Tells you the voltage you are running and much more. Another cool thing about the scan gauge is you set it for your engine and it gives you very accurate readings for your engine. It also has a feature you set if you are going on a road trip and it records your gas mileage, the hours you drove, your average speed and RPM'S along with engine temp, and engine voltage. Using this feature you can compare to other trips and see if you are losing anything as far as MPG and so on.

Pros: The cool features (MPG especially), Ease of Use, Value for the Money
Cons: Size of the box is a bit bigger than expected

Overall I am VERY pleased with the product. I like that the backlight display is always on and is bright. That makes it easy to read. This unit is really easy to use as it only has 5 buttons.

Works great. I found out in under 5 seconds that there were no trouble codes.... For the price, it's a great deal.

Only one complaint, well it's a suggestion really. I think the box itself could be a little smaller so it could mount in even more places. But otherwise I am a happy customer!

Pros: Simple to use. Access to alot of information from the computer
Cons:

I just got mine a couple of days ago and have been playing with it ever since.
I can display my instantanious MPG and immediatly see what effect my driving habits are having on my fuel consumption. The trip feature allows you to see things like the max speed traveled and average speed. Good info that my teenager might not want me to have. I am not going to mount it, although it would not be very hard to do, so that I can move it from one vehicle to another. It only takes a few seconds to set it to the new engine.

Pros: very east to install and use
Cons: Could use a better looking box

Great little box. I like all the varations it has. It actually show me that since I have P255/70R/16 Tires on my truck. The speedO is actually 2 MPH off. Outstanding for seeing what is going on with your truck. I would recommend getting one.

Pros: Great product ! Accurate with the ability to shuffle gauge position reading locations to YOUR preferrence.
Cons: Unit is a little too large. Could use a cosmetic clean-up, as it completely looks like an add-on product. Color display should match dash light color. On a plus note, it would match orange Pontiac dashes PERFECTLY.

See Pro's and Con's.

I rate it a 8.

If it was COMPLETELY based on functions and value for the money, it would rate an 11. But adding the "Pep Boys" cheapo-bin, 1980's looks to the equation, and the fact it in NO WAY matches, it cheapens the appearance of the interior of my Supercrew.

But for under $100.00? Screw it...Get one !

Pros: Unit mounts easily and is interchangeable between other vehicles. Does not need seperate power supply. Brightness & Contrast of screen adjustable. Very reliable.
Cons: Slow screen response on New England winta mornings.

Highly recommend buying the unit. Grest product response from manufacture after the purchase was made.

Pros: Looks great, lots of features
Cons: pricey

I got the new version of this gauge, and I was very happy with all the stuff it has. Besides a bunch of different things you can monitor, it also has trip stuff. The background can be changed different colors, and its really easy to install. Will work on any newer diagnostic port vehicle. It costs alot, and i'm not sure if there are others out there that might be better for the money, but this gauge is very nice quality.

Pros: Looks good, easy to install and use.
Cons:

I do a lot of hauling and road trips so I bought this product to better monitor the FFV engine and mileage. This thing paid for itself as it helped me adjust my driving habits to maximize mileage and allowed me to experiment with different blends of E85/E10 to find the best economy (BTW about 50% e85 to E10 will give you close to straight E10 mileage at highway speeds). The small black unit fit perfectly where the center cigarette lighter was (relocated lighter, used hole for cable, gage attaches with velcro, cord is phone plug style). Looks OEM and backlight color can be modified to closely match instrument panel)

Great Pluses: MPG can be calibrated to actual fuel used.
Cool Gallons/Hour reading allows you to see real-time how
accessories affect fuel usage.
Saves data (day/previous day. etc.)
Easy to transfer to another vehicle

My best highway mileage to date on a 2008 with 5.4 FFV 4x4, 8' bed and regular cab is 22mpg.
