This is the beginning of the muffler. Its tapered on both ends so fitting the 2.5" pipe in there works like a charm. I welded all the way around the bottom. I recommend that you put exhaust clamps on both the front and back end because its very hard to weld on top of the exhaust because of the heat shield.
