I did the Expedition Center Console Mod.
I found, a 2002 Ford Expedition Console from a local EMT Emergency Medical Transport company. They take them out of a brand new Expedition and replace them with a special console. They either put them on a shelf or throw them away.
I removed my front 60/40 bench seat pulled the seat cover off.
Then removed the foam and seat pan. Cut the seat pan down a little bit. Next I cut one and a half inches of the edge and spot welded the pieces together. I installed the seat pan and took the passenger seat to a reputable upholstery shop. Then they finished off the reupholstery of the seat.
