Greetings, I have a 97 F150 4.6 L engine with 104,000 miles. It has a small coolant leak spotting the garage floor usually after sitting overnight.

I crawled under the truck and the coolant appears to be coming from a gasket between a casting that is bolted to the left side, lower front corner of the block just above the pan. Attached to the casting is the lower radiator hose.

The casting looks to have two parallel tubes that run from just behind the pump, then toward the rear of the block.

It looks tight for working space there. Is this something that I can easily replace or is it best a repair shop item?

Thanks for the help.

that would be the water pump and you will need a special tool to get the fan off of it to change the pump

I just looked at it again and there is a pulley attached to the pump in front of the leaking casting but no fan blade. Water pump is sitting higher and centered.

This pump looks like it has high pressure hoses coming off if it. The hoses are about 3/4 inch diameter. Any one know what pump this is?
