 I just bought the truck less than two weeks ago(this is my FIRST ever ford! ). Its a 2005 FX4 with 10K miles on it.

The passenger window makes wierd noise when rolling down which just started out of nowhere. Its not metal/glass grinding, its more like a "rubb rub rub rub" type of sounds. I had rolled it up and down more than a dozen times before this noise started and it was fine. It sounds normal when rolling up and still goes up/down at the same speed.

Any idears?

take it apart to see or be prepared for it to fall because it seems like it has been a problem with 04+ f150s

If you have warranty left, or extended warranty on the truck, get it to the dealer and get that checked out.

Ford dealership states they charge if there is a No Fault Found or cannot duplicate. I forgot to say the issue is intermittent as of this morning.

If it only occurs when you let the window down, look at the outer rubber ban/stip(at the bottom of the window). Our Expedition occas will invert a part of the outer rubber stip as the window goes down(catches) causing a rubbing noise. If so, use your finger and seperate the rubber from the window. Works for a while, then have to redo. Just a thought

Mine did the same thing. Of course it took 3 1/2 yrs to do it. I opened the pannel and the wire rope had broken. Now the passenger window has done it. The whole assembly for each window is $140 to repare yourself or you can let the dealership fix it for $300. Hmmmm, thinking you should fix yourself.
