One of my cables came out of the keeper which caused the main cable to come off the motor "winder" and kink. Now it will not wind/unwind properly. Can this cable be ordered? If so, do I get it from the dealer or is there an aftermarket source? I only need it to work for about a week as my lease is up June 30th. Thanks in advance.

the dealer only sells the whole regulator i believe they only have it with the motor too. but i had the same problem with my truck earlier this week i took the cable and used 60 second epoxy and a cotter pin, i inserted cable into the eye and inserted it through the hole in the window retainer, and then bent it out to hold it in, to hold the cable in then re wound it on the pulley and fought with it to get the motor back onto the regulator it is tight that should work pretty well, i dont plan on replacing it soon but this is my second window regulator that failed this year on my 2004 and i have heard of other people having problems with them so it wouldnt surprise me if there was a recall. and i hope you dont have tints because no matter how careful i am they always manage to scratch when taking the window out. good luck and when you use the epoxy roughen the surface first and make sure that it is clean before you apply it. and wait a few hours after it sets so it hardens really well before putting too much tention on the cable it says 60 seconds but full strength is in 24 hours.

thanks for the info. i had to get the whole thing, the cable was kinked and twisted so bad there was no way to save it. and i found out today that of course they don't sell just a replacement cable. it amazed me how easy it was to put the new one in. it took me three days to mess with the old one and 20 mins to put in the new one and get the whole door put back together. it still p!ssed me off having it go out on me a week before i had to turn the truck in.
