If i'm not mistaken, that would be the 8.8.

I think he's asking about the ratio, not the size...

The only "27" I could find is for the F250 as a 3.31 Non-LS. I want to say someone else had the same problem recently and found out that it was indeed the 3.31. I'll keep looking. Supposedly only 3.08, 3.31 and 3.55s were available with the 4.6 in that year model. Yet, all I can find anywhere is this:
19 – 3.55 Non-LS
18 – 3.08 Non-LS
H9 – 3.55 LS
B6 – 3.73 LS

No 3.31s listed, so I bet that's it. I know for positive that the gear ratio was available in the F150.

That's all I could find as well when I searched around. I would swear when I bought the truck 2 years ago it was listed on the papers to have the 3.55 but got curious after putting a gooseneck hitch in the truck the other day an pulling a livestock trailer. I'm goin to have to dig up the paperwork on it from when I bought the truck and see what it said. Anyone else have any input on this? If it's any help the code on the paper tag around the axle and metal tag on the pumpkin says 826D..
