My 1997 F150 automatic overdrive does not work, pressing button on end of gearshift does nothing. Any ideas?

Do you know how to read a wiring diagram & operate a multimeter? If so, check out these photos:

If not, take it to a pro.

If you have a tilt wheel, you might start by checking the wiring where the wheel tilts. Occasionally tilting the wheel will pull the wires apart.

The TCS/TCIL wiring doesn't go thru that connector, as the pic shows. The one that gets pulled apart is for the MFS.
