When I start my truck all of my guages max out and then go back to 0 and then they start working again. Anyone else had this problem?

Is it happening all the time? It shouldn't be. My guages did that once after I disconnected and reconnected the battery.

If it is happening all the time, check the battery and associated wires for a loose connection. If that's OK, then check the condition of the battery. This could be an early warning sign of a failing battery.

Do any of the warning lamps stay on (check engine, battery, etc)?

No warning lights stay on. I kind of thought it might be an early warning sign of a dying battery because it has been starting slower on cold mornings. Thanks for the reply.

Mine did that and shortly there after, my battery died. New battery and it hasn't happened again.

hmmmm... i have a BRAND NEW 04 heritage and i just noticed that it does this every once in a while.
the only reason i notice it is because the speedometer swings from 0 to 120 REALLY quick.... then returns to zero.

my truck is going in for rear end service monday... i guess i should tell them about this??
