I had the exact same issue on my 2004 f-150 lariat. after testing the fuses, and reading the posts about replacing the memory module and it still not working i decided to take my truck in to the shop. They found and fixed the problem. as it turns out there is a factory splice in the orange with light green wire about 18 inches away from the passenger kick panel fuse box. This splice, allowed condensation to enter and corroded the wire. This prevented power from getting from fuse 109 to all three of the power components.

All it took was taking out the bad section of wire and replacing the splice and everything is as good as new.

Hopefully this helps.

mkynaston, you are the Man!!! Just performed the repair. The splice was right at the bottom of the passenger side kick panel. One 'orange wire with Lt green stripe' comes down from the fuse box and splits to 2 wires then heads toward the back of the truck. The wires (on my truck at least) were at the bottom of the bundle so had to dig them out. Cut out the old corroded splice and replaced, everything works.

Thanks

Pete

oh wow....an actual fix!

I have had this problem for a few months now and have been monitoring a few Ford message boards waiting to see if anyone figures it out. I now have another problem though. My power rear slider isn't moving. Oh yeah, last weekend my drivers seat headrest lcd monitor went out and then just today, my subwoofer amp fried. Could this be pure conincedence or is it just failing due to some corroded wires in a concentrated area?

so as my truck sits right now the following things do not work: drivers power seat, power mirrors, power pedals, power rear slider. Not to mention my fried lcd screen & sub amp.

help is much appreciated!

Nick

found the orange/green corroded wires and reconnected them.....good as new!!! I cant believe how easy it was to fix this potentially expensive problem.

rear power slider is still out though. Looks like this is on the same fuse/breaker as the power windows. Well, my windows work fine......anyone have an idea for this??

Your problem is on the passenger side floor board near the kick panel. remove the floor sill plate and kick panel open up the floor wire harness and locate
the orange and light green wire you will find a splice there with 2 wires splicing to 1 in like a black tape. remove the tape and you will find corrision at the splice causing your problem!!cut out the splice and repair it.You were seeing voltage but due to the corrision you are not getting enough amps.I am a ford tech and have run into this more then you think. Tell me what you find. Good luck!
James

Kegnison,

I know my rear slide window will stick closed, with just a little assistance while pressing the open, it will work, and then it will work for months before doing it again, although I must say as the truck is getting older, I have had to do it less. I think the window seal must be stronger then the motor.

Good to hear, thanks for the feedback,

It seems ford must have an issue, I am sure they are making big bucks from people going in with seat problems. There has been to many on this website.
