I am already sold on upgrading my engine:

http://www.fordf150.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=52373

Now I need help with my suspension lift, I am going to do a 6 inch lift but I am wondering if I should do a 3 inch body lift as well to clear 37x12.5x15 tires. (I will be adding a very solid Roll Bar)

I am not going to use the truck on road except for driving from mud hole to mud hole.

I think I'll go with a SkyJacker 8 inch lift and get one of those Little Giant ladders that Billy Maze sells

If you're gonna go this route, big tires, big motor, and deep mud, have you considered a snorkel type intake and a mod'd exhaust to prevent water/mud/dirt/small animal intrusion? Both things are relatively inexpensive compared to what you're putting out for the motor, and it'll help protect those investments.

BTW, when you get this all done, when are ya gonna invite everyone over to tear up that backyard of yours you keep talking about?

I have thought about a snorkel, especially after tonight. I went to start the old girl and the bendix on the stater was frozen from running her @ 35mph through 100 yards of standing water in the field. I also found out that the passenger side weather stripping leaks when my 2 year old wound up covered in mud.

I'll post some pictures on Monday when I get back to work.

It's got 31's on it now, with 38's I figured that I would use the creeper gear as a normal 1st and 4th might work like an actual overdirve. Then once I blow out the 8.8's I could upgrade to 9 inch axles and some stronger gears.
