Ford F150 - is my engine in danger from oil?

well i start by saying i had a problem with the sensor well we thought the oil 5w 20 i think is what was in it. thats what it called for so i took and changed the oil to 10w 30 and it still happend. well turned out a sensor was all that was wrong so is it bad if i let the 10w 30 run it course before i go and change to the original 5w 20?

10w30 won't hurt it. 5w20 is just the thinnest you can run for better gas mileage etc.
