Tried to participate but it keeps telling me I cant because I am entering an invalid trim/powertrain combination. I know for a fact that I have a Platinum w/ a 5.4L v8 and 4x4...

Thank you for letting me know. There was an error in the powertrain database--4WD was not listed as an option. Now fixed.

19 now signed up--thanks, guys. Though we're still six short of the minimum, I've gone ahead and included the 2009 in the survey.

If you haven't yet signed up...

29 now signed up. A dozen more, and we should have a full result in November.

Help make this happen:

My name is Jacob and i am the proud owner of a 2009 fx4 supercrew i only have 3000 miles on it but so far its been great no problems. The company i work for has a 2009 king ranch supercrew 4x4 with 15,000 miles since new and had no problems these trucks are used daily to pull boats heavy epuipment and other work related jobs. Currently we have no addons to the truck nothing aftermarket but looking to invest in a leveling kit and programmer for my fx4 any suggestions would be appreciated

We'll have at least a partial result for the 2009 F-150 next month. With more participants, we could have a full result.

As I write this we're a single response away from a full result, and I'm going to do what I can to elicit that last response.

Clearly, a few additional participants would be very helpful. T'would be nice to not cut it so close in February.

Thanks, guys.

We ended up with 31 responses, so good enough for a full result. It'll be released later this month, maybe even later this week.

We're going to start providing new stats for the odds of requiring no repairs and the odds of getting a lemon. These require larger sample sizes, so additional participants would be helpful.

For the details, and to sign up if you haven't already:
