| Post subject: | 4X4 dash switch |
I have a 2001 F150/7700 and the light that illuminates the 4X4 switch is bad. The dealer tells me I have to replace the whole switch, $45.00! It's an odd ball bulb. At first I thought it might be an led but it's not. Anyone replaced one of these? Any source for just the bulb? |

Junkyard, or maybe RadioShack or an electronics supply house. Look thru these pics. If you pull your bulb & measure the diameter & length of the barrel, there's a SLIM chance I have a used one that will fit. |

You could so a lil rewiring and put a 3mm led and holder next to it on the dash...probably less then $10 in parts. |
