Good day all,

I am just wondering how many of you out there have fixed or had you lock actuators replaced, and the cost if that isn't to personal...

Also, if you just had your actuators replaced or are going to soon, could I get your old actuators?

Cheers!

Repaired door lock actuators two days after I got my 2000 F150 4x4... Brake repairs took all of the first day...

I replaced two of mine, fronts.

6L3Z-25218A42-AA RH
6L3Z-25218A43-AA LH
I paid 44.68 each for them, and did the install myself. FTE has a good write up on the process in the excursion forum.

Thanks for the input... I did a quick write-up in here... I managed to get my pass side actuator out with out pulling the whole latch assy... it took all of 10 mins to pull the panel and get the shorty flat tip in the correct spot to pull the actuator out...

Do you still have your old actuators? I'd be willing to take them off your hands...

Thanks!

Cheers!!

Ok, I'll bite. How did you fix it with a penny. My passenger side door lock will not responded to the remote. The actuator does not have enough kick to move it...I think.

I am not sure how it was fixed with a penny, without cutting the penny, but is totally possible... This is the write-up I did on the fix without buying any new parts (I used scrap metal, not a penny)... It only cost me a bit of time, some scrap metal, and a zip-tie or two...

Good luck!!

Hello all. I am new to this site and this is my first post. I think this is the problem I am experiencing with my 2000 f150. My remote doesnt work anymore and you have to hit the buttons on the inside several times to lock or unlock the doors. So do you guys think the actuators are bad on my truck??

I think you could use the new or fixed actuators... I didn't even know I had keyless entry until I looked under the dash. I didn't get a remote with the truck...

Good luck!

Cheers!!
