1997 F150 – Windshield washer pump does not squirt. When the washer button is pressed the wipers run, but no pump. The pump works on the bench. With a lamp tester connected to the pump feed wires it does not illuminate either. I’ll assume there is a relay somewhere that is not working. Please, what is the mostly likely cause and where to look?

Check Relay 207 in the Power Distribution Box under the hood, Driver side. (Front Washer pump relay) It is a half relay above and to the right of the double line of regular fuses.

Here is the link to fuses. Enter truck info and go to Roadside Emergency section.

Alright! My man! Hero of the day. Your advice led me right to it. Amazingly there was a cluster of relays all of the same type -- swapped it out and the pump worked. I put the bad relay back in and the pump worked, so I’ll assume it was a bad connection. All is well now. Thank you!
