A few weeks ago I purchased a 2005 screw; the date of manufacture is April 2005.
The vehicle came dvd ready. There is a square hole in the headliner where I am able to grab ahold of gray plugin attached to a wire harness. This plugin appears to be a 3 pin female connection.
I then purchased a dvd system off of ebay. The dvd system snaps right into place onto the rail system on my truck. I was told that the dvd system was for a 2005 Ford F150.
My problem?
The dvd system has a 26 pin male end on it. That said, it won't plug into the female connection sticking out of the headliner in my truck. I can't seem to find any sort of Ford part # on the DVD system I purchased.
Did I purchase the wrong DVD system or do I need to purchase some sort of adapter?

I would continue to look for the 26 pin female connector above the headliner.
If your truck came dvd ready, the electrical harness should be above the headliner in the vicinity of the dvd player. I don't have a dvd player in my truck since I have a moon roof.
I have a diagram showing a 26 pin connector for a 2004 truck installed with a overhead dvd player.
