Ok last year my four wheel drive went out. Light on dash would come on could here the transfer case ingage and here the a click in the dash. changed actuator, that wasn't it. replaced a few vacuum lines that looked bad,that wasnt it. Come to find out it was one of the solenoids by the battery.
Worked since but just the other night it happened again. Lights come on but front wheels don't engage. I have a shifter in the floor by the way. Checked and as far as I can see vacuum lines looked fine and all seemed to be hooked up. Any ideas bout what is wrong? Could the actuator that is less than a year old be bad? could the solenoid be bad again? or something else?
