Ok yall i have a 89 ford ranger with a 5 speed >i need to know if my clutCh going bad (wont go in first but i can still drive it and it sticks in reverse)HAS ANY THING TO DO WITH ME NOT CHECKING THE OIL THAT GOES IN HERE CALLS FOR 80 WEIGHT :oops:

when a clutch wears out it slips... maybe time for a rebuilt tranmission?

The problem lies in your hydrualic clutch. Check for wetness around the clutch master, and when you don't find that, change your slave cylinder/throwout bearing. Replace the clutch if you can afford to, since its the same amount of work.

Slight possibility that you just need to bleed it, but I doubt it.

I had 96,000 miles on mine when the slave cylinder went out. Acted exactly like you described. Clutch itself still looked brand new. I just changed it because I allready bought one.
