Ford F150 - maf sensor (94 ford ranger 2.3)

i was reading one thread and it mention the maf sensor getting wet. i was washing my engine in the truck one after noon. when i took off about 10 minutes later my truck stalled. it didnt turn on for a while, but turned on after waiting a couple of minutes. this happened to me another time when i was driving down the road. ive read some ford manuals and it also has symptoms of the egr valve. i have been stuck on this for a while. even took it to the dealer and they couldnt figure it out. any help
