Hello,

I went to the dealer and they want $150 for the passenger side pinstripe to match my truck...

that's just too much.

Does anyone know a place where I could order one that would match for about 1/3rd the cost?

Or would it be a better option to peel off the driver side to match and try to buff the clear afterwards?

Thanks

Thanks, I sent them a message to see if they can set me up.

Has anyone taken the decals off? Because its an 02 i'm worried that it might damage the paint or leave sun lines.

ask xtreamracer8. He removed his 4x4 decals off his truck. his was a pretty new truck so he didnt have to worry about sun lines, but you could at least get the process...

decals will come off easy, use a hair dryer to warm them up and they will peel right off

I used a hair dryer, but the truck was about 5 years old, and had already gone through 5 summers here in the Mojave desert. I had plastic putty knives (about .69-2.00 @ local Home depot). Heated up the emblems with the hair dryer, then pried up with the putty knife. Didn't scratch the paint. Warning: there are HOLES behind the emblems, so if you're not planning on filling them in or using something else, I don't recommend doing it. I used the badges off the '56, and I like 'em. I've also heard of people using fishing line, or piano wire to cut through the tape behind the emblems. I would NOT use the piano wire. Seem to me, it would scratch the hell out of your paint. Bear.

I'm only looking at doing the pinstripe. I'm keeping the emblems for sure.

I'll try and do it this weekend.
