Ford F150 - 1993 F150 Manual Trans.

Did all 1993 F150 pickups with stick RWD come with the ZF trans? Will it handle the torque of a 351W?

Very few F150s got the ZF - it's used for BIG engines & trucks. The vast majority got the Mazda.

That's what I was afraid of. I'm building an ERA Cobra replica, have a semi-stock 351W engine and am looking for a cheap transmission.

My local salvage yard has the '93 F150 I mentioned, plus an older one with a four-speed. The car deserves a five speed -- any advice?

Sorry - IDK much about car transmissions. One of these days, I plan to build a '67-68 fastback, but it'll have all new internals.
