Anyone have experience with installing Transgo shift kits for the 4r70W? Am thinking of one for my 05 S-Crew.
What is a reasonable price?
How long to expect the job to take?
How difficult is it on a scale of 1-10?
Thanks,
Jason

I don't know about the shift kit but I installed a FactoryTech spacer plate which goes above the valve body and from what I remember, installing a shift kit doesn't entail removing the valve body. I replaced the spacer in a couple of hours I also put in another set of 1-2 and 2-3 accumulator pistons and replaced the spring in one case and left it out in the other. Make sure you have a good set of snap ring pliers and if you do have to remove the valve body, make sure you know where the bolts go and be careful of all the ball bearings that have a tendency to fall out and disapper. It wasn't really hard but it's always a messy, slippery job. I'd rate it about a 5.

Thanks
I think I'll see if I can get it on a rack in a friend's shop. Maybe I can talk him into helping me with it :-)
