Ford F150 - Tailgate Lock

Hey everyone, i just bought a 2006 FX4 SCREW and my PATS key won't lock my tailgate. I have a tonneau cover on my truck and also tow a trailer
sometimes (would like to lock it to prevent people from setting the tailgate down on the handle that raises the support wheel). Any suggestions on how to fix the lock to work with my key? Thanks

First I'd try both keys, flipped both ways. I've seen keys where one side works while the other is a little off and does not. Failing that, see if a locksmith will work on rekeying the lock.

Have you played with it at all? my lock was tough to figure out. I Had to play with the handle and jiggle it around to get it to work. I thought it didnt work either until i fiddled with it.
