Ford F150 - SHIFTER AND RADIO

WOKE UP THIS MORNING,WENT TO START MY F-150 2003 V6 AND THE ENGINE WAS DEAD.JUMP STARTED THE TRUCK AND RAN GREAT,HAD BATTERY TESTED SAME WAS FULLY CHARGED AND GOOD. NOW HERE IS MY PROBLEM MY RADIO WILL WORK ONLY IF THE SHIFTER IS IN PARK OR NUTRAL,WHEN I PUT THE SHIFTER IN REVERSE OR DRIVE THR RADIO GOSE OFF,EVERYTHING ELSE IS WORKING. ???????????

Is it the factory radio or an aftermarket one??

factory radio. now when i turn the truck off the digital milage stays on the oil light and the check engine light are on.had to disconect the battery to get them off.

Sounds like some wires are getting crossed. I really doubt your radio has anything to do with it. Try running some codes through it and see what the check engone light is for.
