Everyday I battle something new on this truck, but I continue to enjoy its looks however at times would be willing to sink the truck in the Walbash River.
Yesterday, I fixed this nasty problem that kept the truck tied up for almost a month since it was so hot outside and I have other obligations.
Glad to fix it, I take it for a ride downtown to cruise and get a hamburger.
MY BRAKES front Passanger side overheat, smoke and I think the darn thing is going to start a fire in my tire. I could just visualize my burning FORD BLUE six with the eight foot bed, giving the fire department the challenge of the day. Smokin on main street, for certain a front page news story.
Thank you Saint Christopher, for I arrived home intact... but what to do.
I think the first order of business is to bleed the brakes from rear pass to front driver side.
Then, if this does not get it... inspect the brake, which looks OK... from the outside, no noise.

START with a careful inspection of the brakes, esp. the one that got hot. Click my sig link & look thru the Brakes & Hubs album for plenty of info.
If you can't find any mechanical reason for it to have locked up (rusty caliper slides, shattered pad, loose wheel bearings, etc.), then it's most likely an internally-collapsed brake hose. It happens sometimes. Swap the hose, flush the ENTIRE brake system, bleed it thoroughly & the recheck everything.
