I own an 83 F-150 [with only the dash speaker], I just bought a new stereo and speakers for my doors. The thing is that my truck has no factory cut holes to wire the speaker wire from the dash into the doors, so I think I have to drill holes in the doors and into the dash through the door-jams. Anyone had the same experience with this same model truck? Any Advice would be great.

Hey there fastford
the '83 that I bought to fix up has the speakers in the doors and I will try to take pictures of where the speakers should be located in the door panel and post them this week. I had the door panels off to try and fix the power windows, still working on that problem.

I've done it. Go to the junkyards & find the rubber boots that connect the doors to the body. You'll need two hole saws (2 1/16" & 2 3/8") and you'll have to remove either the doors or the fenders to cut them. When you're in the junkyard, take photos &/or measurements so you can locate the holes. Your doors & body MIGHT have factory center marks for the holes, so check.
I also added power windows/locks/mirrors, so I really needed the large ducts.
