:o My '96 F 150's turn signals and flashers went out in unison while I was on the interstate last week. Some Bozo dropped a garbage can on the road, and I was trapped in the left lane next to the barrier and had to hit it. It wedged under my bumper, and like a good citizen, and because I hate the sound and smell of burning plastic, I pulled over to get it out of my front end. I turned the flashers on, and nothing happened. Moreover, my turn signals did not work after this. What is the problem? The fuses look OK.

Do the lights come on at all, just not flashing? Or does nothing happen at all?

No, the signal lights do not work, the indicators do not light, and there is no sound. Nothing.

No, I turned the switch off. I even tried the "adjust the steering column up" routine; no go.

are your wipers not working either? or are they ok? i'm guessing your multifunction switch is at fault as long as fuse 7 and 13 are ok and the wiring in the tilt is ok, would have to do more diagnostics on the wiring but need to know if your wipers are working and same with flash to pass so check that out and i'll get back to ya asap

The wipers work fine. The signals do not work at all.

Sorry to take so long to resolve this thread. I found the problem. It was the connections in the steering column. I just jiggled the flasher switch and everything came back on. Cheapest repair I ever did.
