have to pull entire cluster out, behind you will find little screws that will allow you to take off plastic face, Just did that 2 weeks ago, its not hard just time consuming.

In order to get the cluster out, pop off the two trim peices that run horizontal about in the middle of the dash on each side of the steering collumn. They just pop off, and there are screws behind them. Then take off the headlight knob and check above the cluster for screws, I forget if there are any more up there. Then, do as Mike says. It's pretty simple once you get in there. Oh yeah, if you have dual tanks, don't forget to plug the switch back it or it won't start.

after you get the dash piece off, the clear plastic face is held on by some torx head screws. be careful when you remove the face, it scratchs easily. since you got all that off anyway, it might be a good idea to pull out the guage cluster and replace any burnt out bulbs. good luck
