Hello everyone I am a new site member and have a 2007 FX4. I love this truck and have been Ford Truck fan all my life. I was reading some of the posts and I am hoping oemguy can help me with my problem. My transmission was replaced under warranty when I got my truck back the aux. input no longer works. Push the aux button and display reads "No Aux Audio" also the radio buttons no longer light up when you turn on headlights. I have the factory 6 disc cd with mp3 and on dash aux. jack. I went back to dealership & they were clueless. I've checked fuses and wiring and can't find anything wrong. It worked fine before the transmission replacement. :( :-?

Take it back to the dealership and make them fix it! They cant give you your vehicle back with something else broken. They obviously messed with wiring harnesses if they pulled your transmision. Tell them that they must fix your radio that they broke! Dont take no for an answer!

I took it back to them the day after I picked it up and beleive it or not the service manager said they did not know what the problem was and were not sure how to fix it. What I was hoping was that oemguy, who seems to be very knowledgable about the factory radios, could tell me what needs to be done i.e. reprogram radio. It would be nice to have that information when I go back to the dealer.

I own a Nissan Versa, but found this thread in a search engine hoping it could solve the same problem.

I am posting this reply just in case it helps.

Yesterday my stock radio 'Aux-Input' stopped working. It displayed the message 'No Aux Audio'.

It happened when my cell phone was plugged into it. It stopped working when the 'Battery Charge Complete' sound went through.

I guess it was too loud or something, so the radio decided to shut down the input.

I finally got it working after fussing around, but I'm not sure what the exact combination of furious button pressing and fiddling was to fix it.

Here are some of the things I did...

*) Press radio power off/on several times with nothing plugged into input.
*) Plugged phone into Aux-In and messed with the phone volume... off/vibrate/full etc.
*) Pressed the Aux button many times with the above combinations.

Something triggered it back into working mode. Good luck!

I've tried pushing and holding a combination of different buttons, pushing the aux. button repeatedly, turning radio off and on several times and nothing has worked thus far. Next step may be a hammer to the radio face. :alcoholic:

You probably already did, but try pulling the battery cable and reconnecting it. Maybe it just needs to reboot....

Yes that was the first thing I tried. I am sure it is something simple. I am still amazed by the service manager's "I don't really know what it could be" response. :eyes:

OK so here is how it went down with the dealership. As I stated in the original post the dealership replaced my transmission under warranty. When I got my truck back the aux. in no longer worked, when I push the aux button on the radio the radio display reads "no aux audio" and when I turn on the headlights the radio buttons do not light up. The dealership says the radio is toast and there is no proof they screwed it up. The dealership says they are willing to share the cost of a replacement radio. Cost of radio is $1200 I pay $400 and they cover the rest. Doesn't seem fair to me but I don't see that I have a choice. To say the least I am POd. I have told the dealership I want the old radio and hope that I can find someone to fix it and maybe sell it to recover some of my cost. Very disappointed! :cuss:

Spend 50 bucks and have your attorney send them a letter demanding the repair/replacement of the radio or face legal charges (If you are a good writer, you can send the dealership owner/manager a certified letter yourself). They will quickly settle with you and give you the radio b/c it will cost them more that that in fees. Dont accept that half ass offer for any reason. If they are accepting partial responsibilty, they will accept full responsiblility. This is a 2007 F150 for Christ's sake!!!!! Explain to them how you will report them to the BBB and file a complaint with FORD if you dont get your way! They can't give you back your vehicle in worse shape then when you brought it in....I dont want to be rude to you, but you need to step up in their faces (metaphorically of course) and demand what is right!!
