I've read many a forum post on e fans and I have no doubt I will be installing one by X-mas, but I never see anyone mention the shrouds.

When people install the duals what do they do about the stock shroud?

Is it a good idea to install an e fan of the same diameter and retain use of the stock shroud?

Since most of the good kits (Troyer and Flex-a-lite) use dual fans, seems the original shroud will not go back on without mods. In picutres on this forum, most have cut out the rounded section to allow it to fit back and retain some of the stock look.

I believe Flex-a-lite now has fans with a shroud. It's not like the stock shroud

Do you think you need one at all with dual fans? It seems like 2 smaller fans would really cover a larger portion of the radiator and would be as efficient if not more than the single with a huge shroud
