ive been looking at the amazing deals on ebay. and im left wondering a few things

i put pics of my truck below for reference

A) a lot of the billet grills have cutouts for the "stock" emblem (im assuming it's some kind of an overlay)....however, the OEM grill in my 07 clearly doesnt appear to support that kind of thing.......am i going to be stuck having to find a grill that is packaged with an emblem?

b) how hard is the removal of these types of grills?

c) do they sell grills that come with the surrounding molding? Cause when you look at my truck, you can see the molding around it is that ugly flat black paint and so is part of the fender.....

if not, what do you guys suggest doing about those flat-black areas....is it something i could possible detach and spray paint?

the front end of this beast KILLS it......if i just had a decent front end it would complete the look of the truck

cmbezln,
Been lookin for a grill to replace the cheap gold honeycomb on mine too. Everything I've looked @ so far seems to be just the inside of the grill, sorta an overlay type thing & not the outside rim of the grill, mine is chromed plastic but would figure you could paint yours to match the truck with a krylon plastic paint, hard to match xactly would think.
Have seen alot of people in here that hate their grill so welcome to the club buddy. Hope the Ford folks r listening but have started seeing the 2009 F150s over here in the last month & their grills look just as bad. Corse they just throw a blanket over it & sprinkle a few flowers on it to ghey it up.

RD,
My Arabic is not the best but, generally something like "today we are free with Allah's beautiful/bountiful blessings, today we rejoice for all peoples" [this was @ the Anbar province turnover to the Iraqi people this wk] They really like new Fords in this part of the world, must have a pretty good rebate going for the 09's, everybody & their little brother r driving them. Like our signs better......

Your grill is called the H bar or bar style grille
The part around the grille that is the same color as your bumper is called the surround. Your best bet is to paint your surround or have it painted. Black or ptm (paint to match) are in high demand since they can be painted very easy and last. Chrome is much harder to paint

Here is the clasic billet which has the gold trim ring from the honeycomb grille which was cut out.

This is a Billet replacement grille that takes the place of the oem grille using the brackets

Same grille with black surround
