My truck is a 2006 2 wheel drive f-150. Last weekend I replaced both front rotors and pads. The install went off without a hitch until i drove the truck. When i first start to drived the truck the traction control light and the ABS lights come on. I have to turn off the traction control to drive it. The brakes work fine but for some reason the ABS is now really sensative. The new rotors have that weird looking ABS thing on them so I don't know what's going on with it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Is it possible the codes need cleared after that kind of work on these trucks? I doubt it but I can't see why the light would come on unless maybe something on the ABS was damaged. I got my rotors turned the other day and new pads and it didnt do that. Sounds wierd, did you do it or did you pay a shop to do it? If it was a shop I would take it back.

In your avitar it looks like 4x4. Please either explain or post pic's. Alot of Dorks around here like to lower there trucks, and in my opinion thats ass backwards as a truck should go up not down whether it's 4x2 or 4x4. You want to low ride get a car jerk-off.

well since we have so many pleasant people here, did you count the teeth on the tone rings for the ABS from the old rotors and the new ones? if the new ones have a different count it will cause problems.

Frtdrmrose7:
I was going to say the same thing as I have read that in this site in the past. ABS ring is not quite the same and the ABS computer can't read things properly. Since the tractional control works off the ABS signals then both are frigged. Might have to change the rotors to something else.
