What is the purpose of Leveling? Why do people do it? Is it for clearance reasons or mostly aesthetics?

i personally am doing mine for aesthetics purposes. i think it looks much better when the truck is sitting level rather than sloping forward. i am also doing it for clearance issues as well. i want to put larger tires on my truck, and to do so, the front end needs more clearance, hence the leveling kit. that's my personal reasons..

that bugs me too... I think its all for looks you know bigger tires and things. It makes no sense to me b/c if you haul a load or are towing something your truck would be uneven. Almost similar to a wheelie haha

Why go to the cost of air bags? Just add springs

I've heard guys adding 1.5 add a leaf and a 2.5 level kit to keep from doing the wheelie thing while pulling a boat. Might pm hound_dog, I think he has that setup or msparks, someone can tell you for sure.

maybe because adding springs is gonna make for a more stiffer ride and if your not always hauling or pulling stuff then air bags would be the way to go, springs are in there bags just need air, easy enough decision would be bags.

I would much rather have bags than add a leafs, adjustability AND they wont sag later like the leaf will if you do tow anything.

You can always just do the 2.5" leveling kit, and then replace the 2" block in the back with a 3" block. Your ride will remain the same, its easier to install then an add a leaf, and cheaper than air bags.

That would work too and thats probably what I am going to do to save a little. Although some bag systems arent that expensive.

I just think replacing the block is the best idea. A 3" block would be perfect if you worry about the rear sagging with a load, and without a load it would still look very good. Airbags just seem silly to me, so does and an AAL. But thats just my opinion of course.

At least I wrote " I HEARD" instead of writing a bunch of B.S. like you and most others do on here trying to make yourself look so f**king smart. Why is a 700 a sissy ride, It'll eat your ass up! What a dumb f**k!
