| I took my '05 F-150, 5.4L, in to the dealer today to have them check on a re-occurring vibration that begins when my truck hits approx. 44 to 46 mph and learned that there is another technical service bulletin on this problem. It is TSB 06-19-16 and applies to some '04-'05 F-150 and Mark LT trucks in which a vibration or shudder occurs at moderate to hard acceleration. The service people believe it also applies to the conditions that I experience....not at acceleration but at certain moderate speeds. The corrective action is listed on the TSB as adjusting the rear axle pinion angle by installing a shim kit and referring to the Driveline Angle Corrections chart in the TSB. Approximate repair time is 2.7 to 3.2 hours. Having already replaced the entire driveline under a previous TSB only 3K miles ago, I am hoping this one cures the problem. Hope this helps anyone having the same issue. |
