| i just purchased a leveling kit and iam thinking about doing it myself cause everyone around here says its SOOOO EASY. lol. and pretty much every shop around here is charging me like 200- 250 bucks for install. but i thought someone on here said there was a how to article on it. but cant find it. so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. thanks. and by the way the only article i found was for a body-lift. |

They were actually on a different forum:
http://www.f150online.com/forums/showthread.php?t=303125&highlight=autospring+write-up
I used these although it wasn't as picture perfect they made it sound. I had a heck of a time trying to get the ball joint back in the top of the knuckle. I needed help on that part but otherwise did the rest by myself. If you're an average wrencher, expect about 4-5 hours to do the job. |

Please 4-5 hours c'mon, I have heard 1-2 hours tops. Just take it down to a alignment shop and get it done. F150pete since you dont even have instructions and dont know where to begin. Save your ass a headache, at least they will do the alignment there as well, an alignment shop by me told me $160 and that included the alignment and 1 1/2 hours to do it all. 4-5 hours is B.S.! _________________ 08' F-150 XLT 5.4L Super Crew 4x2

OK! You have heard!!!!!!! Tell you what. I'll give you my leveling kit when I get my suspension lift. I wanna see you do it in 1-2 hours. NO F-in WAY!!!!!! There is no way you can do it unless you do it on a daily basis. No air tools AT ALL......4-5 hours is good. Especially if you have trouble with the ball joints going back in and dont have exactly the right tools. Your a goof dude! _________________ Sissy's drive 2wd truck's!

| Yeah, I "heard" from many on here 1.5-2 hours. Without a hoist and air tools it's not going to happen. Maybe you should at least try installing one yourself instead of calling out someone as talking B.S. based on what you "heard" |

| Took me about 4 hours to do mine. Had some difficulties, mainly tracking down a metric socket that I didn't have (drives me nuts having to deal with Standard and Metric on one vehicle). Other than that, without the proper tools you will have to make a few improvisations with what you got. |

Good point! You said it perfectly. MY LOCAL TIRE SHOP! They have air tools, do stuff like that daily (strut removal and installation), all the proper tools, and an extra set of hands if needed within a few seconds. Kinda hard to pry down on a control arm, push the ball joint in, and get under it to align it all at the same time. WHATEVER!!! _________________ Sissy's drive 2wd truck's!

| 4-5 hours if you're mentally retarded. Have a buddy over to help you and I guarantee no more than 2 hours. Also make sure you have all the tools you need before you start. You need a 30mm socket and a big wrench for the strut. That is the only time consuming part. One side on mine took about 5 minutes the other took about 15. Have your buddy help you with this part and don't forget the WD-40

| Horse, put your kit on with a buddy. With the info on that page, if it takes you more than 2 hours you may be physically or mentally retarded. If you are prepared with everything you need it should take less than an hour a side. So unless you man up and actually do the work shut the F*ck up. All you do I talk sh*t about things you have no clue about. You're that guy. News flash, no one likes that guy. If you have a problem with me I'll be in the Phoenix area next week. _________________ I'd rather walk than drive a chevy |
