Would I be able to use a flywheel off a 302 on my 300 if I use the starter for a 302 also?

I believe someone told my uncle told me at one point that the 302's flywheel is balanced differently then the 300's flywheel.

check the diameter and spline count on each, along with the way that the starter mounts, and the drive gear size. if the diameter is the same and the starter is similar enough to make contact then it should be fine.

I know that the starter mounts in the same location as it is the same transmission. Shortly after I posted this question I found something that said that all 3 small blocks use the same starter. I guess that the spacing in the teeth are similar enough, but a 302 and the 300's have a different tooth count on their flywheels?
