Guys im just about to pay off my 2000 4wd 5.4 ext. cab and im kinda looking for a little more power. I pull a 26' camping trailer and need a little more, but on the flip side i need to keep as much gas in the tank as i can. programers, throtle spacers, any ideas and if so what kind. thank guys.

Edge programmer made a world of difference in my 99 4.6l best bang for the buck imo

I'd say go for a programmer and intake, throttle body spacer = waste of money in my opinion. AF1 and S&B are both great options

Ill add to that pulleys, definitively intakes do the job but you can also try this http://www.fordf150.net/howto/airboxmod.php and also http://www.fordf150.net/howto/airintake.php .Im also on that pursuit power/mpg mods so my next mod will be headers,x pipes and high flow cats.

You can make it perform better by throwing money at it, but it is highly unlikely you will see any significant mileage gains from throwing money at the Blue Oval.

Don't expect big mpg gains like 03 said. I would do tuner, intake, electric fans, pullies and exhaust. Give you better performance and at least keep your mpg or make it a little better.

Make it breathe better and remove all that weight of the clutch fan. Pulleys work but don't help mileage much.
