On my F-150 ext. cab FX4 I have 4 cats. Will it still pass inspection if I cut the 2 cats off that don't have sensors? and will that make it louder if I cut those out, take my whole exhaust system off, and run true duals all the way? I have heard that this will make it CRAZY loud and it will still pass inspection. I just wanted to make sure. Anybody know a price range for doing this?
i cut the back 2 cats out and it made a huge difference in the sound. haven't had to try and pass inspection. to have my cats cut out and a custom xpipe installed cost me 75-100 i believe
I don't know where you live, but cats are required for all vehicles in north america. my mechanic ran true duals, 2 headers, 2 free flow cats, 2 mufflers, everything and it was crazy loud. Way too loud to even be next to or ride in. He would up selling the truck anyway, but it was obnoxious loud.
