I just bought a used 06 Lariat super crew 4x4 and would like to get as much information as possible on the truck. Is there anyplace that I can get things like axel ratio etc. by the VIN number? Is it possible to get a copy of the original window sticker?

if you open the drivers door there is a sticker on the body(halfway up next to the pin that holds the door closed)it tells you axle ratio, gvrw, tire pressure and so on.dont know about the window sticker.hopes this helps.

How about a reply that's actually worth something, guess you never get caught up in the moment of buying something. Not to mention, I'm sure you know the exact tire pressure before purchase? Don't even tell me you do, if you do.. wow...

OP, check the frame of the truck when you open the driver's door. If its not there, check the the other doors along the frame. Should be a sticker there with most of that information. As far as vehicle weight, just go to Ford's website and look it up, you can also probably find the axle ration there as well.

The information helps out. The axel ratio was not an important buying factor. I was more concerned with the overall condition of the truck which was excellant and the price was right. However now that I own it I want to know as much about it as possible. I will post a few pics. soon

Thanks Again!

the axle ratio in these trucks means everything. It establishes your towing capacity, it can make the difference between 12 and 18 mpg (4.10 gears eat fuel), the axles themselves are they limited slip? You don't know how important that is until you find yourself up the the rocker panels buried in snow.

Look on the sticker in the door. Under the word "axle" it will give you a code. Match that code to this shown below:

19 – 3.55 Non-LS
18 – 3.08 Non-LS
H9 – 3.55 LS
B6 – 3.73 LS

door sticker link
