Does anyone have a fairly easy fix for a leaking exhaust manifold. i have a 99 with the 5.4l and the bolt on the bottom closets to the fire wall has had the head broken off and now leaks untill it warms up. it seems to only be getting worse. thanks to anyone that can help or read this!

just take off that side manifold and the broken stud can be taken out with a pair of vice grips

is there any easy way to get to the passenger side manifold, like taking the inner fender lining out or anything?

all you need is a stick of gum, some duct tape, a screw and an egg.

i had the same problem with my 99 f 150 5.4 on passenger side. just pulled front tire, pulled exhaust manifold off changed gasket and put manifold back on. no studs broken on mine though. now it sounds like drivers side is leaking
