long story short, i tried parking my truck in a parking lot this afternoon and i went to back in a spot.I shifted into reverse and nothing happened! ,i played with the column and it finally switched to reverse. It felt like it was in nuetral....any ideas?
98 f150
4x4
4.6l
188,500 miles
Automatic
for the previous 4 months or so , it felt like it took a minute from going from a gear to reverse...this only happend in reverse...do you think i am losing my reverse gear???
there is a video on the forum a few posts ago which a guy posted on how his truck shifted from an underbody view...mine did the same thing! |

i have a stock 8.8 rear end with 3.55, and a stock e40d tranny...think it could have anything to do with being overdue for a tranny fluid change and filter? maybe something is tweaked in the valva body?? |
