| I have the Super 44 and very much like it, but it's not the off-road it's got the black case not the plated one which would be for off-road. My F-150 is 2WD not a 4x4. Oh and yeas it is bad a$$ even with all my 4 cats, nice deep rumble from idle all through the powerband, it never gets high pitched and stays deep while RPM's go up. Try it! _________________ 08' F-150 XLT 5.4L Screw cab

| in my opinion of you are going to keep your cats then the super 44 is a waste of money for you. i would just put in a piece of straight pipe. but if you are going to cut the cats off then you might need a little something to cut down on the noise or it will drive you nuts. i have true duals with 40 series flows, no cats at all and 4 inch magnaflow rolled edge tips. it is crazy loud. like people can hear you blocks away. |

You need the cats for emissions so dont cut your cats out just get hi-flows cats, you need them cats if your state or county requires you to emission tests. Also the stock cats are really good for stock as far as flow goes. My supper 44 was not a waste of money after hearing the 40 series in a friends F-150 and how it loses it's deep tone to a high pitch. Also why do you have 4Inch dual pipes? I heard if using duals your diameter should be no greater then 2 1/2 inches 2 1/4 is more ideal, read that it had something to do with back pressure. Dont know why you feel this way about the Super 44 for? Curious is all, thanks. _________________ 08' F-150 XLT 5.4L Screw cab

| its called off road exhaust. my truck is not on the road so i can get away with it. i have one truck to work and one truck to show. i would love to have a stang but no leg room being i am tall. but you can install high flow cats and drive it daily if you want to. i have heard the super 44 and it dont sound any differnt to me than just a exhaust job with a piece of straight pipe in it. i have had several trucks done that way and it sounds great. there are things you can do to tune your exhaust, "X" pipe in one thing if you have true duals and headers will make a little difference. magnaflow also makes high flow "Y" pipe. also i am planning on doing a supercharger so i will want the higher flow. my tips are only 4 inch tips, i have 2.5 inch pipe from manifolds back to the tips. 2.5 will flow better than 2.25, but if you go 3 inch pipe it will send you power band into even higher RPM's. 2.5 is ideal because you will still have the torque and hp in the low to medium range. also AN ENGIN DOES NOT NEED ALOT of back pressure. you can go 3 inch pipe on one. depends on engin. there is a guy on here with a white F150 on bags and has 3 inch exhaust. you can get the same sound out of a straight pipe as the super 44 and save a little money is why. i have thought out, studied, and asked questions before i decided on a end result. and also you can tune you exhaust with the tips as well. the option of adding high flow cats later if i decide to take it on the road alot, also there is no emissions checks in my state right now. if it comes the i will throw the hi flows on. |
