I have a 1999 4x4 f150 4.6l off road .where is obd port located?

welcome! located underneath the dash, near where your right knee would be right at the bottom of the trim panel below the steering wheel.

thanks will look tomorrow when friend stops with obd reader have tranny trouble along with airbag indicator light on

is the check engine light on? does the horn work? (if it doesn't, then your clockspring in the steering wheel might be broken - it throws a airbag light because the clockspring powers the airbag in a collison) how many times is the air bag light flashing? OBD reader will not pull airbag codes, trans codes yes.

not sure if horn works will try tomorrow.air bag light on and off intermittently over 5 hour trip.
