I read a few posts as to what to do with water build up in the bed of there F-150 after heavy rains, well I noticed that the bed floor of the F-150 is not 1 solid piece as there is gaps where it's pieced together therefore not allowing water to stay put as it does drain out to underneath the bed and onto the muffler, leafs, etc. thats the only downer about it but it's not a solid floor it does have gaps between the pieces. Someone said in the winter they fill there bed up with water to freeze for weight dont know how this occurs, anyways I have a Spray-in bedliner also and the gaps weren't covered when it was applied, bed bolts were pulled as well as the screws/bolt on tail gate and the tie down anchors as well were pulled before the application of the liner. Thanks for help.

Hi Steele, how much water build-up are you talking about? I have not noticed any build-up even when flushing out the bed with a hose. Bed drains fast on this end. POWERUPP.

The only thing I can think of would be that those people with water build up, have a bed liner. My old bed liner would fill up with water until like thefordmaniac said I drove the truck, and under the tailgate it went. No big problem. You would have to either seal your tailgate and all other gaps, or put a tarp inside the bed to fill it with water.

No not me Iam not having the build-up with water, I read it on a post and someone asked how he was supposed to get water out the bed and he had a Line-x liner, it had me scratching my head wondering why would water build up in a bed that for one is not a solid piece and has some gaps where the pieces go together. This guy's post had people telling him to park on an incline with tailgate down and some were like they fill there beds up with water so it would freeze for added weight, the water leaks out of mine no problems.

Should have read the post a little better before you replied , as I said "I read" that water builds up in bed with no drainage, not that I have this problem. It hasn't rained here in months (Desert of Az.) and when it does it drains out fine.

ala redneck swimming pool, works real nice on hot days, the suspension will bottom out on a f150 but not a 250 or 350.
