No, you will have to cut, but why do it?

You'll have a towing monster for an engine in a truck that isn't really meant to tow much.

Result: Slow, worthless truck.

Just saying...

my my, bunch of whiney bashers and no help!?

Jim, I've never seen the swap done firsthand before so all I can provide you is information off the net. So we both know it's been done before.

I would suggest do some more studying and once you feel confident, go buy up a donor F150 for cheap, park it somewhere and keep it close by so you can swap all the necessary parts to the Ranger.

The 300 6 mated with proper gearing and some upgrades to the engine itself, should give you more than enough torque to turn the 38's.

Then sell whatever is left of the F150. Good luck man! I miss my big six that's for sure! -Mike-

i have the moter set in the truck! the best problem i have found so far is how to run the exhaust. i am trieng to use the f150 trans and with the transfer case it end 2 inches into my gas tank.(i wish i like exstended cabs) i have enof room to run a electric fan on the other side of my ratator supart, but i had to notch some of the floor even with a 3 inch body lift. if enyone can help me with my exhaust problem it would be nice. i only have like 5 inches to make a S bend and then i think it will hit my starter. thanks 4 the help so far.
