| just registered! any help to diagnose my constantly cycling compressor would be great! no cold air, just ambiant, or hot, (on normal a/c, not max). i love the ranger, but when the heat of summer comes, it's gonna BLOW! and i don't mean COLD! oh yes,3.0L,xlt supercab,2wd auto. |

| Sounds like it is low on coolant. It probably keeps cycling because the low pressure indicator shuts it off to keep from damaging the system. It's pretty easy to charge. You can buy the stuff at an automotive store and do it yourself. I would get the stuff with the dye in it so you can locate any leaks. |

x2 just some food for thought though, if you do decide to do it yourself, check the capacity of the system and always charge on the low side of the system. -Mike- |

| Mike is exactly right! Make sure you check the system with a gauge before you just start putting coolant into the system...just to be safe! I've heard of over charging and it blowing off the excess...lol, bet that isn't too fun. |
