Hello every one I recently installed an electric fan to increase fuel economy. After i had installed the fan i hooked the pos + end to a non used slot in the fuse box under the hood. The fuse box that is located on the driver’s side just behind the battery. Any way after the install of the fan my battery light went on. I that that i had a bad alternator. I replaced the alternator with at new one and the light was still on. I went back to the place that i got it from (BEP BOYS) and told them that they gave me a DOA (DEAD ON ARRIVEL). They gave me a new one and i replaced it. THE LIGHT WAS STILL ON. So i looked up the wire diagram and looked for the generator fuse. To make a long story sort the diagram had the fuse miss labeled. If your battery light is on, check out fuse number 7 mini not 17. This hopefully will save you some time and money. Don’t make the 130.00 dollar mistake that I did
If any one would like pics of what fuse or how i set the fan up let me know and i will post for u _________________ 06 F150 XLT 5.4 V8 SUPERCREW

I had to reread the thread I thought you were referring to your F-150.Are you sure your Ranger only holds 13 gals? My 2004 Ranger has a 17 gal tank.Last fill up was 17.3 gals from dead E.
